Westview Weekender

A one-night ’taste of camp’ event - perfect for summer camp veterans and newbies alike! If your kiddo has not done sleep-away camp before, this is great way to introduce first-timers to the concept of camp and get them excited about a summer program. Open to children currently in 1st-5th grade.

We will travel there and back in the church vehicles. Children under 8 must be in a booster seat (parent provided).

The dates for 2026’s event are: April 24-25

Details TBD, but we anticipate:

- leaving late afternoon on Friday (after school), returning around dinnertime on Saturday

- possible activities based on registration numbers and interest: canoeing, archery, team building, rock wall/bouldering, Gaga ball/basketball, campfire and s’mores, outdoor movie, craft/nature activity

Cost will be determined by how many participants register and I will update you on this ASAP. This event is open to all, regardless of whether you attend Shady Grove! Please feel free to invite friends.
