Shady Grove 101 – Winter 2024

Join Pastor Darcey and the Shady Grove UMC staff for Shady Grove 101. This luncheon will be on February 18th starting at 12:30pm, immediately following the 11:15 Sunday service, in room G110. This is for people who have recently joined our congregation, those who may be contemplating becoming a member (or an associate member where one retains membership at a homechurch), or perhaps you want to simply know more about the church and what we believe.

For starters, we believe that belonging within a church community is essential to one’s faith and makes real God’s hopes for the world, and that membership can be an important step on this journey. Come and hear from people in the church community how being a part of Shady Grove has strengthened their faith and deepened their family’s lives, and meet others who are new to the congregation.

Lunch will of course be provided at this event! Please let us know if there are any food needs that we can accommodate. Children are encouraged to join us, and there will be child-care and activities provided for nursery and elementary school aged children during the program portion.
