On Sunday, April 23 we are going to host our annual “Be the Church” Sunday to serve our community. We will have one thirty minute worship service at 9 a.m. in the Gym, including singing, words of inspiration, our morning offering, and a sending forth. Then, we will do service projects out in our community or within the church that will have an impact within our community and world. We will return between 12:30 and 1:00 to share a meal and celebrate God’s work and our experiences. Sunday School will not be held this day.

Before and during this day our church will come together as a body to gather donations, pray for our community, and live into the church’s mission of sharing God’s love with the world.

There are projects for every age and ability level, and friends and families are welcome. Project descriptions will be added to the page, and sign-ups will become available by early March. Childcare (infants – 3 years old) will be provided in the church nursery until 1 p.m.

Service projects to include:

SPCA
Hanover Animal Control
Teacher gifts for Mechanicsville Elementary and Kitty’s Kids
Gifts for First Responders
CARITAS

…and many others!
