On Sunday, May 4th, 2015, we joined together to serve and Be the Church!

What an incredible day!  New Song UMC, Mechanicsville UMC, and Shady Grove UMC came together as one for Be The Church Day—a beautiful reminder that the church is not just a building, but a people on a mission.  From yard work to wood chopping (with two snakes!), card writing to furniture building, and knitting to an amazing, spirit-filled time of worship, teams spread out across our community and came together in our church building to serve with love and purpose. We are grateful for every helping hand and every heart that showed up. Let’s keep Being the Church every day! Amen! Check back early in 2026 for more information about our next Be The Church day!
