Out of the Way
At times we work so hard to accomplish something “for God” that we unintentionally become a stumbling block for what God is really doing. After all, Peter, while well-meaning, was unable to provide the means necessary for God to reconcile the world through the cross, as are we. It was perplexing to Peter that Jesus had to die to save the world. And perhaps here and now, God wants to work in mighty but perplexing ways, which may only happen when we step aside and allow God to be God. Scripture: Matthew 16:21-28
