Wednesday Night at the Grove A mid-week time when the community of Shady Grove UMC gathers for a meal and then an opportunity to participate in children's choirs, small group discipleship study or other scheduled activities. The Winter/Spring 2010 quarter will begin on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 and run through Wednesday, April 28, 2010. The cost for dinner which is held in the Gym is: $6.00 Adults $3.00 Children (under 12) $18.00 Family Cap Dinner 5:30-6:15 Classes and children's choirs 6:15-7:15 Winter Programs for KIDS!!
Mini Grove Kids' Express (age 3) Children explore Bible lessons through story, music, and games. Grove Kids' Express (age 4 through 2nd grade) Children will be divided into same age groups and explore Bible lessons through story, music, and games. Sprouts ( 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders) A covenant discipleship group for children in which they learn about witnessing to Jesus Christ in the world through acts of kindness, justice, worship and devotion. Cherub Choir Open to 4-year olds (as of the first rehearsal date). Carol Choir Children in Grades 1 and 2. Trinity Choir Open to children in Grades 3-5, this choir uses Orff instruments and recorders. For Youth!! Middle School Boys Bible Study 6th-8th grade Middle School Girls Bible Study 6th - 8th grade High School Bible Study 9th-12th grade Confirmation Class 8th graders
For Adults!! Dealing with Grief Biblically based reflection and support group for those dealing with all forms of grief. Making Love Last A Lifetime For engaged and married couples or singles thinking about it, an 8-week video and discussion exploration of Christian marriage. Shady Grove 101 For new and "old" members, a basic course in Christian disciplines and beliefs, United Methodist history, and how to get involved at Shady Grove. Women's Bible Study Women, join us as we study the book of Philippians with other women. Men's Bible Study Men, come and study the Bible with other men. Prayer Shawl Ministry Knitting and crocheting shawls in a prayerful atmosphere that are given to those in need or as a baptismal gift. Organizer Gynanne Hahn.
Hyperlink Hyperlink is Shady Grove's contemporary worship band, leading the 9:45 a.m. worship service. Rehearsals are held in the Sanctuary(S200) at 6:30 p.m. Chancel Choir This adult ensemble is the primary choir for the 11:00 worship service. Rehearsals are held in the choir room (S109) from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
