Drive-in Worship
Beginning Sunday, October 11 at 11:15 a.m. and every 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Sundays, Shady Grove will hold a drive-in worship service in the gravel lot adjacent to Meadowbridge Rd. Using an FM transmitter, liturgy, music, and preaching will all be a part of this service. A digital bulletin will be provided that you will be able to access on your smartphone. Participants will need to register with the church office by the Thursday prior to the Sunday they plan to attend. Registrations will be required weekly. You can register by contacting Karin Nelson in the office at 804-746-9073 or For complete details regarding drive-in worship, please review Attachment 3 in the Limited Re-opening Plan.
Important reminders for drive-in worship: Participants must remain in their vehicles at all times except in the event of an emergency. If someone leaves his or her vehicle, he or she will be asked to return to the vehicle. If he or she refuses, the service will end immediately and everyone will need to leave the parking lot.  There can be no sitting on vehicles or in the beds of trucks.  No lawn chairs or blankets will be allowed. Congregants, who keep their windows closed are not required to wear face masks.  Those who wish to open their windows must wear face masks at all times.

This new service will be in addition to our regular 9:45 online service.  We will not be offering drive-in worship on the first Sunday of the month due to our communion service.

As a reminder, if you are not feeling well, you are asked to stay home and participate in worship online. Questions about our re-opening plan may be directed to
