New! Children’s Summer Sunday School

Beginning June 30 and ending August 25, Sunday school during our 9:45 hour is going to look a little different! Children between the ages of three years and fifth grade will meet in the Youth Center for a one room Sunday school lesson where children will learn The Gospel according to Dr Seuss. A really fun summer is planned that draws parallels between themes in scripture and several of the beloved children’s stories we have come to love. Games, mission opportunities, and scripture supporting the lesson are just a few of the activities children will participate in each week!
11:15 Sunday School will use the same curriculum, but will continue to meet in Room G218.
If you interested in helping with these exciting, fun filled lessons, please contact Dixie Chappell at

We ask our Teachers to be the lead in the classroom. Teachers are given access to our online
curriculum materials that give specific instructions on what to “say” and “do” during the lesson.  A box of materials is prepared weekly with ready to go activities, so preparation time for teachers involves reading the lesson on your time and preparing your heart to serve. More information about how each class time is structured can be learned by first serving as a 2nd Adult.
We ask our 2nd Adults to assist the teacher with helping facilitate the lesson, handing out materials, assisting children with activities as age necessitates and possibly escorting children to and from the restroom. No preparation is required as a second adult, simply a willing heart!

Please contact Dixie Chappell if you are interested in being a 2nd Adult.
