Easter Egg Hunt

Families with elementary age children are invited to enjoy face painting, crafts, and more as we celebrate Easter. There will be an age divided egg hunt for children up through 2nd grade.

Westview On the James Children's Retreat -- Has your child ever wanted to try summer camp, but a week was too overwhelming, or maybe your child has never experienced a night away from home? Well, we have an exciting overnight opportunity for children ages K – 5th grade at Westview on the James (located in Goochland County) Friday, March 15 - Saturday, March 16. The cost of this event is $65.00 per child. This includes a meal on Friday evening, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, as well as all the activities your child would typically participate in during summer camp, such as crafts, archery, and a ropes course, all while including spiritual formation. Transportation to and from Westview will be provided by the church, and Dixie Chappell, our Coordinator of Family and Children’s Ministries will be attending this overnight experience.

Spaces are limited and chaperones are needed. To reserve your child’s spot, please download the forms below, print out the forms, and return with payment to Dixie Chappell at the church. Checks should be made to Shady Grove UMC and please memo “Westview Children's Retreat.” Registration closes March 1.
