Welcome from Pastor Jay Kelchner
Here at Shady Grove Church, we believe it really is possible to “eat your cake and have it too.” As a large suburban congregation, we offer a myriad of ministry opportunities for people of all ages and all needs. From sports teams to Bible Studies, from mission trips to multiple choirs, from children’s and youth programs to Senior Citizens Ministry, from men’s and women’s ministries to caring for the homeless, from pre- and after-school programs to parenting ministries, the opportunities for involvement here are virtually unlimited. At the same time, Shady Grove offers the warmth and personal touch of a smaller church. Many of our older members still remember when they worshiped in the “little white church across the road,” and they have shaped our caring as the congregation has expanded in number and vision. No one is a visitor here – we are all guests at God’s table. Our many classes, small groups, and ministries provide places where strangers quickly become close friends; our three dynamic worship services connect personal need with the deep mystery of God’s love.
